Waiting on a crowded platform or entering a narrow subway car with unfamiliar passengers can quickly lead to stress-inducing situations. This scenario is especially suitable for patients with social phobia or agoraphobia.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Description of the scenario<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once your patient puts on the VR headset and you start the scenario, they will either be directly inside a moving subway or on a busy platform. In the subway, they are initially alone, but passengers can be added if needed. On the platform, other people are either walking around or waiting for the next train.  <\/p>\n<p>The avatars can be optionally activated \u2013 they stand, sit, or move like real passengers. When Text-to-Speech is enabled, they respond to the patient with eye contact. <\/p>\n<p><strong>The patient has the following possibilities for a high degree of realism:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Free movement through the subway and station<\/li>\n<li>Getting on and off at any station<\/li>\n<li>Sit on any seat in the car (Note: Prepare a real chair in the therapy room for this)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The therapist can activate the following actions in this scenario:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Start or arrival of the subway<\/li>\n<li>Simulation of a stalled train<\/li>\n<li>Toggling the avatars on or off<\/li>\n<li>Regulate crowd size (using a slider)<\/li>\n<li>Deactivate automatic door opening<\/li>\n<li>Make avatars smile or give a provocative look<\/li>\n<li>Individually control announcements in the subway<\/li>\n<li>Activate individual dialogues through Text-to-Speech*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<article class=\"w-full scroll-mb-[var(--thread-trailing-height,150px)] text-token-text-primary focus-visible:outline-2 focus-visible:outline-offset-[-4px]\" dir=\"auto\" data-testid=\"conversation-turn-662\" data-scroll-anchor=\"false\">\n<div class=\"m-auto text-base py-[18px] px-3 md:px-4 w-full md:px-5 lg:px-4 xl:px-5\">\n<div class=\"mx-auto flex flex-1 gap-4 text-base md:gap-5 lg:gap-6 md:max-w-3xl lg:max-w-[40rem] xl:max-w-[48rem]\">\n<div class=\"group\/conversation-turn relative flex w-full min-w-0 flex-col\">\n<div class=\"flex-col gap-1 md:gap-3\">\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col flex-grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-8 text-message flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 whitespace-normal break-words text-start [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"user\" data-message-id=\"aaa23eaa-7a65-4468-974f-c1791ca0b1c1\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden items-end rtl:items-start\">\n<div class=\"relative max-w-[var(--user-chat-width,70%)] rounded-3xl bg-token-message-surface px-5 py-2.5\">\n<div class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap\">* This feature is only available with the VR Coach smart system for clinics!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>In the clinic system, larger numbers of avatars can be displayed, and the Text-to-Speech function is available exclusively.
